A SIZZZZZZLING BLOW...?

In rain drain situation in the nation, comes a news from our(?) government about the price hike in Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene and LPG. When the whole nation is awaiting some good shower that can soothe people's soul and life, such sizzling hot news has been released from 'Aam aadmi ki Sarkar' to burn aam aadmi along with sustaining summer heat. In a major decision to bring petroleum products in line with market rates, the government today freed petrol from all pricing controls. Oil Secretary S Sundareshan announced after the meeting of the Empowered Group of Ministers. And now Diesel will be Rs.2 costlier, Petrol Rs.3.73, kerosene Rs.3 and LPG Rs.35. As said by him, The move will help boost profits of state-run oil firms that have been losing revenue from government-set lower prices. But what about the common man's home? Will it be able to sustain the inhabitants' common life to bare minimum possible? Moreover, today the dearness(wait, wait, wait, how come is it de...

Zoooooom in rain.......

Rut aa gayi re rut chha gayi re... I hummed this song from the film Earth. Beautiful composition by Rehman (my fav muz composer) and high pitched voice of Sukhvinder have made one of the most lovable rain songs of Indian cinema. Monsoon is favourite season of many in this rain starving(am I being extremist?) nation. Rain has always inspired Indian poets right from Kalidas in Meghdutam to Ramesh Parekh in Varsad bhinjave . Children to elders, birds to animals, lovers to farmers all set of living beings love the rain whole heartedly. Rain soothes, rain mesmerises, rain drains, rain trains, rain gains and rain even pains. Rain has worked miracles for years together. Love flows in veins with rain water flowing in streets. Rain awakens the soul and blesses utmost pleasure. When the beautiful rain is imminent, we can't wait to have the first embrace with the most awaited season in this part of the world. I feel overwhelmed seeing dark clouds in the sky. Wordsworth had said: My heart lea...

I'm back

Well, after a long absence, I'm back on writing n posting on blog. Meanwhile, a lot of issues went by on which I had intended to post my views but somehow couldn't manage. First thing first, with all good wishes from relatives, friends, followers, guides, teachers and all the well wishers, I HAVE CLEARED GPSC EXAM IN RECENTLY DECLARED RESULT WITH THE RANK OF 74th. I heartily thank all the well wishers and supporters for being there. In the summer heat the news came as a cool breeze and made me happy. With this, my hunt for GPSC is now over and I can relax and wait for the next call that is the order by the government to join the new job. There will be several formalities to be completed but that will take some time as required. But the wait of almost 5 years is over with the declaration of result. Now, some more wait and final goal will be realised. Yes, There are some more issues on which I want to write; and to name a few: Maoist attacks, Scorching heat, our media and more t...

New age... SACHIN AGE!

Image
Jiska hume tha intazaar woh ghadi aa gayi... We are gratefully lucky that we are living in the same timeline as the maestro Sachin is living in. You name it and he has it- almost all major records belong to our very own little master, the CRICKET GOD, Sachin Tendulkar . His recent exceptional feat of scoring first 200 in ODI (wait, how many firsts even belong to Sachin? You would stop counting!) sizzled whole nation and made people overwhelmingly happy. Being a die hard fan of Sachin I couldn't resist but write a few lines for him. I know truly and perfectly well that no words simply can match this unmatched maestro of cricket world. He is at a place in world cricket where no one seems even nearer (who's listening? Ponting are you?) I was overjoyed passionately when he did it finally. I was overwhelmed specially because when Sachin managed to score his fifty under 12 overs and seeing his temperament, I had a gut feeling that that day was the day when he could score a double to...

System needs Saridon...!

You go, you request, you place an application, again you request, you go again and again, you feel frustration, you yell inside your brain, yet again you request and you are asked to come back another day just to find your work still undone and in process - the sort of excuse that can pour cold water on your head. If you are lucky enough, there are still, rare chances that you haven't had to acquaint with such situations. Yes, I am talking exactly about our offices that run our system. You go to any office for your work and you are bound to suffer the trauma. Sometimes they even make you feel-"why the hell was I born?" Our system is increasingly decreasing in potential efficiency and willingness to help people. They seem to have decided to observe a non co-operative movement with people. People have to start 'dhakka' journey to get their work done even when they are right from all perspectives. Our system runners are busy delaying your work. A layman goes to any ...

Lyrics... Dil to bachcha hai ji...

One of the most beautifully written and sung songs of recent times, as I had mentioned in earlier post, comes from sensibly superb lyricist called Gulzar for the film Ishqiya. The song should be one of the reasons to watch the film. No, I am not the promotion manager of the movie. It's always soothing to share what you liked and loved. The song- Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji... is voiced melodiously by deserving heir of late Nusarat Fateh Ali Khan- Rhat Fateh Ali Khan; truly music has no boundaries. The music by Vishal gives olden days' touch. One might even think it to be a black&white movie song. Life is at zeal when you listen to this song. A beautiful composition powerfully backed by heart throbbing lyrics. Let me share beautiful Lyrics here. Here it goes... Lyrics of Dil To Bachcha Hai... Song Aisi ulji nazar unse hatt ti nahi Daant se reshmi dor katt ti nahi Umar kab ki baras ke safaid ho gayi Kaari badari jawani ki chatt ti nahi Walla ye dhadkan bhadne lagi hai Chehre ki ran...

Where are we heading...?

'Vasudaiv Kutumbakam' the concept belongs to India, doesn't it? I think our culture beholders and political benefit mongers seem to have forgotten this. We are a country of cultural diversity and integration. We have many traditions worth following but our stupidly GREAT Leaders are busy creating new traditions worth trashing. We had the news that Mumbai belongs to Marathis only ; there can't be any doubt about Marathi's right over Mumbai but the problem lies with the word only . Whole India belongs to every Indians and it is utterly stupid to make such derogatory comments publicly. On one hand, we feel patriotic in blaming Australia's racist attacks on Indians and go on threatening their cricketers; and on the other hand we do the same here in India to our own Indians in the name of our own state, region, religion and language. It's like we have the right to do whatever with our fellow countrymen but we plunge to criticism and threat if it happens outside...
