Where are we heading...?

'Vasudaiv Kutumbakam' the concept belongs to India, doesn't it? I think our culture beholders and political benefit mongers seem to have forgotten this. We are a country of cultural diversity and integration. We have many traditions worth following but our stupidly GREAT Leaders are busy creating new traditions worth trashing. We had the news that Mumbai belongs to Marathis only; there can't be any doubt about Marathi's right over Mumbai but the problem lies with the word only. Whole India belongs to every Indians and it is utterly stupid to make such derogatory comments publicly. On one hand, we feel patriotic in blaming Australia's racist attacks on Indians and go on threatening their cricketers; and on the other hand we do the same here in India to our own Indians in the name of our own state, region, religion and language. It's like we have the right to do whatever with our fellow countrymen but we plunge to criticism and threat if it happens outside the country. What message are we conveying? Why can't we come out of this brothelsome politics and be constructive? Oops! constructive and politics perhaps don't go hand in hand. Congress, B.J.P. and RSS did a good job in taking a firm stand against regional ideology but they are perhaps doing it out of again political calculations. Mr Chauhan, the CM of Maharashtra, also commited a serios blunder in raising the issue of language based licence system. Everyone is busy getting political mileage leaving national interest behind. Where are we heading...?
Another news came that superstar of the millennium- Mr Amitabh Bachchan has become brand ambassador of Gujarat. Well, it's a good news, isn't it? But to some it isn't. They, the pseudo nation lovers, have jumped into criticising Big B's step. These pseudo people- The Great Congressmen of India have come out with the argument that he should not work for the person who is allegedly said to be responsible for probably India's worst and big massacre. Now, can anybody tell me- will Mr Bachchan promote Gujarat or any individual? If Big B has come to Gujarat, he must have been attracted to the cultural diversity, people's spirit to stand tall in any situations and vibrant aspects of the state. And he will promote that to the world. I must say to the congressmen to stop such mediocre comments and focus on constructive works. Oops! Yet again?
They must understand that such paltry talks would just dwarf their image in the eye of people. A state is not made of one person only, many people constitute it to be what it is. Do we have to reteach these basic lessons to our 'very own' leaders? It's a pity that every party is involved in this foolish act without caring about people's opinions and point of view. Is it the way we want to see our nation march ahead? What will be our destination? Where Are We Heading...?

Broken are the ways to progress...
Rotten are the means to integration...
Where Are We Heading O dear Nation...?
