Ishqiya... Dil To bachcha hai...

Image
Excellent beginning...perfect blending...& superb ending... that's exactly how I would like to describe this iahqui film Ishqiya. The big welcome to Abhishek Chaubey the director. The film is dramatic, crisp and crunchy. The magnetic effect begins with the first scene itself where you have Holmes like shadow and a photographer to click at you. From then on every shot is a winner. Introduction of Vidya, her love tickles with hubby and the blast with title Ishqiya promise you that you are gonna see a different movie. Same is the entry of Arshad and maverick Naseer- two rogues like thieves dancing to the tunes of 'Ajeeb dastan hai ye'. It, once again, promises you of different experience. And the journey of shocks and surprises begins. The look of the film is rustic and the rural smell almost reaches your nostrils. Vidya, Arshad and Naseer all are simply fantastic to watch. Vidya allows you to develop ishq. Arshad and Naseer jolt you with power packed performances. And yes

Republic Day?

Well, well, well; here comes our 61st republic day. India is a big country where every moment is celebration. We are a celebration crazy nation. Today, as, we are celebrating our Republic Day, a question rises in my mind: Are we really People's Republic? or Are we Politician's Republic? In my last post I had talked of cheatocracy. I think we have this great moment in hands to celebrate our 60 years of being cheated. It's time now that we wake up and do something. Let's wish ourselves powerful thinking and even more powerful actions on this national occasion and then only we can say with great pride: Vande Mataram kalpesh bhatt

Change Talkers or Change Makers?

I just went through Rajesh Kalra's blog in the Times of India in which he has rightly criticised lethargic and unaccountable approach of Indian govt and raised several striking questions over the recent advertisement of the ministry of women and child welfare that had the picture of former Pakistan Air Force Chief, Tnavir Ahmed. His stance is understandable. The 'chalta hai' attitude needs to be curtailed but the basic question, here, is where and when will it begin? And more importantly who will begin it? I have written him back in the comment section which I would like to share on my blog too and if any reader finds it worth attending or commenting, do not HESITATE. My reply to Mr. Kalra is exactly as below. "Sir, It's always easy to talk and do anything in this cultured nation. We just talk and talk and do nothing and sometimes we act and act without talking or even thinking. Our democracy is CHEATOCRACY where our 'dedicated' politicians come forward to

Green Treen

I am posting one of my poems here. It was written way back after Mumbai train blasts. It, in no way, tries to pin point any cast or religion but the inhuman terrorists so it should be read with that in mind. Green Treen? Woken up one morning, I found a sudden change… Everywhere… Life which used to be vibrant, Had been engulfed by green imprints. The sky was no more blue, but green The sun had no yellow light, But shades of green The seas, the oceans, the rivers and Every body of water were mixed with color green. The trees, the plants and the birds Which were naturally green, Had now been painted red… Blood red… Green snow and red leaves surrounded the mountains. The world bore only two colors- green and red. Singing, shining and fluttering birds were throbbing with fear All the words were transcribed in Arabic or Urdu clear. Women all were shut in “burkhas” And, children all were taught on pages green: The benefits of being “Fidayeen”. In a quick succession, I heard blasts; Something
Hi, I m back after quite long. These days I am busy preparing for my GPSC interview. I hope I succeed in it the way I want. Life is full of miracles and I want to witness one in near future. Although I don't believe that my selection would be miraculous and not on talent, I do feel that it would give me a miraculous joy. I m here to talk about yesterday's event. It was special as Savarkundla's one of the most popular novelist and columnist Nanabhai Jebalia was reevaluated in a conference. He is one of the most read but critically less discussed writers of Gujarati language. He is continuing the writing style that started from Meghani. The rural and rustic feel in his writings cast a spell on the readers. Yesterday on 23/1/2010, V.D.Kankiya Arts College, Savarkundla and Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Gandhinagar had jointly organised a conference titled as 'Nanabhai H. Jebalia ek Punah Mulyankan'. We had pleasure to listen to critical evaluation of the writer's works b
